How to Create an Eid Mubarak Poster Design in Photoshop
Eid Mubarak is a greeting that Muslims use to celebrate the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a festive and colorful poster design in Photoshop using some simple tools and techniques. You will also learn how to download and use a free MP3 and MP4 file of the tutorial for your convenience.
Here are the steps to follow:
- Open a new document in Photoshop with the dimensions of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a resolution of 300 dpi.
- Fill the background layer with a dark blue color using the Paint Bucket Tool (G).
- Create a new layer and name it “Stars”. Use the Brush Tool (B) with a small round brush and white color to paint some stars on the background. You can vary the size and opacity of the brush to create some depth.
- Create another layer and name it “Moon”. Use the Ellipse Tool (U) to draw a white circle on the top right corner of the canvas. Then, use the Eraser Tool (E) with a soft round brush to erase some parts of the circle to create a crescent shape.
- Create a new layer and name it “Text”. Use the Type Tool (T) to write “Eid Mubarak” in a large and elegant font. You can use any font you like, but I used Almendra for this example. Choose a light yellow color for the text and position it in the center of the canvas.
- Add some layer styles to the text layer to make it more attractive. Right-click on the text layer and choose Blending Options. Apply the following settings:
- Drop Shadow: Blend Mode: Multiply, Color: Black, Opacity: 50%, Angle: 120 degrees, Distance: 10 px, Spread: 0%, Size: 10 px.
- Inner Shadow: Blend Mode: Multiply, Color: Black, Opacity: 50%, Angle: 120 degrees, Distance: 5 px, Choke: 0%, Size: 5 px.
- Bevel and Emboss: Style: Inner Bevel, Technique: Smooth, Depth: 100%, Direction: Up, Size: 5 px, Soften: 0 px, Angle: 120 degrees, Altitude: 30 degrees, Highlight Mode: Screen, Color: White, Opacity: 75%, Shadow Mode: Multiply, Color: Black, Opacity: 75%.
- Gradient Overlay: Blend Mode: Normal, Opacity: 100%, Gradient: From yellow to orange, Style: Linear, Angle: 90 degrees, Scale: 100%.
- Stroke: Size: 3 px, Position: Outside, Blend Mode: Normal, Opacity: 100%, Fill Type: Color, Color: White.
- Create a new layer and name it “Flowers”. Use the Custom Shape Tool (U) to draw some flower shapes on the canvas. You can find some flower shapes in the Shape Picker menu or download some from here. Choose different colors for each flower and arrange them around the text. You can also resize and rotate them using the Free Transform Tool (Ctrl+T).
- Add some layer styles to each flower layer to make them more realistic. Right-click on each flower layer and choose Blending Options. Apply the following settings:
- Drop Shadow: Blend Mode: Multiply, Color: Black, Opacity: 50%, Angle: 120 degrees, Distance: 5 px, Spread: 0%, Size: 5 px.
- Inner Shadow: Blend Mode: Multiply, Color: Black, Opacity: 50%, Angle: -120 degrees, Distance: 2 px, Choke: 0%, Size
